INTRODUCTION :
Welcome to the world of electronics !
The purpose of this manual is to extend the existing one with more details and in-depth information of the circuits.
New circuits are added and some old originals were revamped and corrected where necessary.
In almost every circuit, the switch is used to power on the projects.
You will learn about the components used in your kit by following the projects. Some more ideas are included.

SOME MORE INFO ABOUT THIS PROJECT KIT :
It’s best to build the circuits in following order, this way, you won’t miss valuable theories of electronics.
Some projects use an external antenna, especially the radio circuits. These days, AM radio has almost gone, so you need a really long antenna and earth connection to pick up weak and distant radio stations.
Some projects require a tablet or smartphone. You may need to install some apps, these include function generator, oscilloscope, etc. Most apps are free to use.
You also need a fresh set of wires, these are the dimensions :
all wires are stranded and 0,02mm thick

  • 20x white length 7,5 cm
  • 20x red length 15cm
  • 20x blue length 25cm
  • 10x yellow length 35cm
  • 2x black length 38cm
Remove about 5mm of insulation at both ends and tin these using a solder iron.
By building the projects, it’s best to use the shortest wire possible.
You will also need a shielded wire with a 3,5mm jack plug at one side. This wires at the other side need to be tinned and insulated using shrinking tube. More info of this can be found with the project itself.

Since this is a really old kit ( dating from the early seventies ),
I strongly advise you to rebuild the IC. The components on this small circuit can easily be soldered on a small protoboard. This board can be mounted and connected at the rear. The IC itself can be damaged and the components on it cannot be replaced. The transistor should be a Silicium transistor with a Hfe of about 180. The 2N3904 has been found a perfect replacement.

I did my best to use this kit and see it as a challenge to build new and exiting circuits.
Hopefully, it will give you some new ideas too and give you inspiration to build your own !

HAPPY EXPERIMENTING !
