A reflex radio

AM radio stations can be picked up with this highly sensitive radio circuit.
It’s build with the Neckermann-Lafayette 150in1 kit.
Follow the spring connections and use the shortest wires possible.
Since this is a rather complicated circuit, be sure to connect all wires and double check the wiring diagram.
With a 3m antenna wire, connected to spring 13, you can easily pick up several radio stations.
Fort more sensitivity, wrap an insulated red wire 2.5 turns around the left edge of the AM ferrite bar and connect the tinned ends to terminals “Antenna’ and “T2”.
Connect an earth connection of a waterpipe to terminal “T2”.
Use a long antenna wire and connect it to terminal “Antenna”.
Now, you can make the radio play at speaker volume.
If you want to listen only via the crystal earphone, disconnect the speaker.
The volume in the crystal earphone will be much louder then.

Have fun !
